About the Center for an Independent Workforce
The mission of the Center for an Independent Workforce is to protect the liberties of individual workers and reform the way Ohio government handles labor relations. Our work is based on the principle that individual employees should have choices about who represents them in the workplace. Coercive union practices, by definition, hurt the rights of union members and increase state and local government personnel costs at the taxpayers' expense.
Our objectives for the Center for an Independent Workforce include:
- End compulsory unionization on Ohio; make Ohio a right-to-work state
- Make significant policy proposals for eliminating public employee collective bargaining
