"The Buckeye Institute provides a valuable role in furthering public discussion and debate on important public policy issues. Its analysts have shown an admirable willingness to challenge the conventional wisdom on issues such as sprawl and transportation policy while grounding their research in real world data and analysis."
—Randall G. Holcombe, Ph.D., DeVoe Moore Professor of Economics, Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida.
"All of policy analysis takes place in a political context and this invites rhetoric and posturing. Analysts that probe beyond the conventional wisdom are the ones who are the most helpful. The Buckeye Institute is a leader among these. Its cogent analysis of the role markets and property rights play in promoting economic growth and improving our quality of life fills an important gap in the policy debate."
—Peter Gordon, Ph.D., Professor, School of Policy, Planning and Development and the Department of Economics, University of Southern California, and Director of the USC Master of Real Estate Development program.
"The Buckeye Institute's work in the areas of growth management, transportation, education, and tax policy presents a challenge to many of the accepted wisdoms of the urban planning profession. While I don't agree with every conclusion they come to, I have found their work to be both sophisticated and rigorous. The profession has a good deal to learn from reading their work."
—Gerard C.S. Mildner, Ph.D., Associate Professor, School of Urban Studies and Planning, Portland State University.
"I enjoy the chance to read studies The Buckeye Institute sponsors. Many of them provide insightful commentary and analysis into some difficult, contentious, and important issues."
—Richard E. Wagner, Ph.D., Holbart L. Harris Professor of Economics and former department chairman, George Mason University.
