Yes indeed. If you’re selling, it’s profits. If you’re buying, it’s profiteering. If you’re an elected official pandering to the crowd, it’s political profiteering.

Apparently the Plain Dealer Editorial board thinks “trust” is a synonym for “denial.” Trust is what happens when you let bankrupts go bankrupt; denial is what happens when you bankrupt taxpayers to enrich, not merely the wealthy, but the reckless wealthy. (Relax, guys. This is what’s known as a buying opportunity.)
