Kudos to the Plain Dealer for this story: They gave web-page (and apparently front page) prominence to Joyce Beatty’s $320,000 cupcake deal, mentioned its effect on her pension, which Ohio taxpayers could be paying for 20 or 30 years, AND they published the list of ALL of Ohio State’s $300,000-plus employees.
That’s some seriously good reporting and editing.
Plus the story notes that Chancellor Eric Fingerhut has confidence in Gordon Gee. He probably has confidence in Jim Tressel, too, but that didn’t stop USC from pounding Ohio State the way the state of Ohio is determined to pound the Ohio taxpayer.
