Well, Hell’s bells. Right now people are hurting out there, so clearly we need to confiscate the property of anyone who has any more than anyone else. Or if that’s too radical, let’s just take the property of the rich, because we’d surely never take *your* property. That’ll fix things, so long as you let us know when you’ve got enough.

Bah. As a statement of martial law, that quote probably works. As a statement of anything else, no sale. So to speak.
