Cheaters, cheaters, everywhere you look
Wednesday, March 4th, 2009 By Mike MaurerThe city of Worthington, outside Columbus, has found itself a niche that it apparently doesn’t want: It’s a more hospitable home to taxi cab licenses than Columbus is: “Columbus limits the number of licenses to control the supply of cabs, prices and safety.” Then Columbus has the gall to complain that cab drivers license themselves in Worthington. Go figure.
The inability to let other people alone has to be about the central human failing; if only there were a way to limit it to interpersonal relationships and keep it out of government. Maybe someone should litigate whether Columbus even has the right to keep cabs out . . . hmm.
