Beth Lear
Legislative Liaison and Policy Analyst
Beth Lear brings over a decade of legislative experience and expertise to her role as the Buckeye Institute's education policy analyst. She provides legislators and other policymakers with a free-market prospective on important education issues. Lear's commentaries on education policy are widely distributed and published in various Ohio newspapers.
As a former majority staff member in the Ohio House of Representatives, Lear assisted in preparing legislation, reviewing testimony and briefing legislators. She also developed a keen understanding of the importance of timely and accurate information to shaping a legislative agenda. She is a graduate of The Ohio State University.
