3rd Place Again!
The Tax Foundation’s Tax Freedom Day report was released today. Always telling is the State and Local Tax Burden ranking table. Ohio has regained 3rd spot. I mentioned this to a couple of friends. Let’s call them ‘civilians’ in the Battle of Ideas here in Ohio. Sadly, neither understood immediately that “Ohio ranks 3rd in state and local taxes per income” meant “3rd from the highest tax burden” as opposed to “3rd from the lowest.”
Lesson learned: Never assume otherwise intelligent people are actively clued in on the stakes and issue determining the future of Ohio.
