The Buckeye Institute and Prison Fellowship invite you to an in-person lunch hour briefing—“Fostering Reentry Success: Advancing Second Chances in Ohio.”

More than one in three adults in the U.S. have a criminal record. These individuals face more than 44,000 government-imposed barriers to work, housing, and education that limit their efforts to become responsible stewards of their families and communities. How can our society better unlock second chances for Ohioans with a criminal record? What can the church, businesses, and policymakers do to reduce cycles of recidivism, addiction, and unemployment among individuals leaving Ohio’s prisons and jails?

The discussion will be led by David Jimenez, senior manager of government affairs at Prison Fellowship, and will include Robert Alt, president and chief executive officer of The Buckeye Institute, along with guests with expert and lived experience. The panel will discuss the importance of fostering a culture that promotes second chances.

Please RSVP by May 26, 2023.
