Columbus, OH – The Buckeye Institute issued the following statement regarding the DeWine/Husted Ohio Prosperity Plan.

“The Buckeye Institute has long called for reforming Ohio’s burdensome occupational licensing laws and we are pleased to see this issue being addressed by candidates running to become Ohio’s next governor. It is long past time to get serious on this issue and time to stop forcing Ohioans to seek a permission slip from the state before they can begin making a living.

“We hope that all the candidates running for office will embrace these sensible bi-partisan reforms that will get people employed more quickly.”
